Add ChatBouncer to Shopify

1 Get your ChatBouncer code

1. Create your ChatBouncer account (14-day free trial) or log in, and set up your assistant.
2. In your dashboard, open your assistant and go to the Widget & embed tab.
3. Click Copy code. It's one line that looks like this (yours has your own key): <script src="…/w.js" data-key="pk_…" async></script>
4. On the same tab, under Your website domains, add every address your site uses (your own domain and your yourstore.myshopify.com address) and save. The chat box only runs on the addresses you list.

2 Install the ChatBouncer app (private link)

1. Email [email protected] with your store's .myshopify.com address. We'll send your install link.
2. Open the link while logged in to your Shopify admin and click Install.

3 Switch on the chat box

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store.
2. Find your theme and click Edit theme.
3. In the sidebar, click the App embeds icon.
4. Turn on Chat box (ChatBouncer), paste your code (or just the pk_… key) into its box, and click Save.

Prefer not to install an app? You can paste the code into your theme instead: Online Store > … > Edit code, open layout/theme.liquid, paste the line just above </body>, and save. Only do this if you're comfortable editing theme code.

4 Check it and go live

1. Open your store in a new tab. The chat button shows in the bottom corner.
2. Back in your ChatBouncer dashboard, press Go live so your assistant starts answering visitors.
