Add ChatBouncer to Wix

Paste the code once in your site's Custom Code settings and the chat box shows on every page.

Coming soon The ChatBouncer app in the Wix App Market (it will also work on free Wix sites). Until then, use Custom Code below.

1 Get your ChatBouncer code

  1. Create your ChatBouncer account (14-day free trial) or log in, and set up your assistant.
  2. In your dashboard, open your assistant and go to the Widget & embed tab.
  3. Click Copy code. It's one line that looks like this (yours has your own key): <script src="…/w.js" data-key="pk_…" async></script>
  4. On the same tab, under Your website domains, add every address your site uses (your connected domain, for example yourbusiness.com) and save. The chat box only runs on the addresses you list.

2 Add the code in Wix

  1. Go to Settings in your site's dashboard.
  2. Click Custom Code in the Development & integrations section.
  3. Click + Add Custom Code at the top right.
  4. Paste your ChatBouncer code into the text box and name it ChatBouncer.
  5. Under Add Code to Pages, choose All pages and load it on each page your visitor opens.
  6. Under Place Code in, choose Body – end.
  7. Click Apply.

Wix only allows Custom Code on a published site with a connected domain. Wix also asks you to give each code a category for its cookie banner; ChatBouncer is functional.

Google Tag Manager uses this same script line: one Custom HTML tag, trigger All Pages. That is not a separate product.

3 Check it and go live

  1. Open your site in a new tab. The chat button shows in the bottom corner.
  2. Back in your ChatBouncer dashboard, press Go live so your assistant starts answering visitors.
