Add ChatBouncer to WordPress

Our free plugin adds the chat box to every page. No code editing.

Coming soon Search for ChatBouncer in the WordPress plugin directory. Until it's listed, upload the plugin as shown below.

1 Set up your assistant

  1. Create your ChatBouncer account (14-day free trial) or log in, and set up your assistant.

2 Install the ChatBouncer plugin

  1. Download the plugin (.zip) Don't unzip it.
  2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin at the top.
  3. Choose the chatbouncer-wordpress.zip file, click Install Now, then Activate.

3 Connect your account

  1. Go to Settings > ChatBouncer.
  2. Click Connect your account. Log in, pick the location, and the chat turns on. You don't copy a key.
  3. Already have the code? Paste it in the box under the button and click Save changes.

Using a caching plugin? Clear its cache after saving so visitors get the new page.

Google Tag Manager uses this same script line: one Custom HTML tag, trigger All Pages. That is not a separate product.

4 Check it and go live

  1. Open your site in a new tab. The chat button shows in the bottom corner.
  2. Back in your ChatBouncer dashboard, press Go live so your assistant starts answering visitors.
